Apress' team has been working incredibly hard over the past few weeks to get the content for the first Multimobile Development volume ready to go to press. It's all looking good to hit the shelves/racks/disks in October.

The book will now be presented in two volumes - mainly because there was too much to say to fit it all into one. Volume 1 will cover iOS and Android. Volume 2 will cover Windows Phone, Windows Mobile, Blackberry and HTML5. There will also be some free chapters hitting this site in the next few weeks.

The first ten chapters of the book are now available on the Apress Alpha program. This is a program whereby you commit to buying the ebook at the normal price, but you receive PDFs of each of the chapters as they become available. It's good for readers as it gives you access to the material before the book is committed to press. It's good for me and Apress because it allows us to get great feedback on the book, again before it's committed to press. The book can be found here: http://www.apress.com/book/view/143023198x.

Source code for the Android projects and the generic Web application are now posted online at code.multimobiledevelopment.com. This is a very early version for supporting peer review of the book - the Web application particularly is missing some bits and pieces. However the Android version is feature-completed and pretty well polished. Enjoy!
